Instructions:

Step 1: Preparing the Bottle

  1. Clean the Bottle: Thoroughly clean the 7up cold drink bottle to remove any labels and sticky residue.
  2. Cutting the Bottle: Carefully cut the bottle horizontally in the middle to create two parts. The bottom half will be used as the seat of the Jhula.

Step 2: Creating the Swing Base

  1. Stabilizing the Base: Use the bottom half of the bottle as the base. Ensure the cut edges are smooth to avoid any sharp points.
  2. Attaching the Wire: Poke small holes on opposite sides of the bottle’s cut edge. Insert the iron wire through these holes to create a sturdy frame for the swing. Bend the wire ends to secure them in place.

Step 3: Decorating the Jhula

  1. Beads & Sequins: Decorate the base and wire frame with beads and sequins. You can create patterns or cover the entire surface for a sparkling effect.
  2. Golden Elastic Lace: Wrap the golden elastic lace around the wire frame and base for an elegant touch. Secure the ends with Fevibond.
  3. Glitter Pens: Use glitter pens to add intricate designs and patterns on the bottle. Let your creativity shine through with floral designs or traditional motifs.

Step 4: Enhancing with Colors

  1. Fevicryl Pearl Colors: Paint the entire structure with Fevicryl pearl colors to give it a divine and festive look. You can use a combination of colors of peacock feather
  2. Paper Tape: Use paper tape to mask off areas that you don’t want to paint. This can help create clean lines and patterns.

Step 5: Adding the Paper Cup as a base of Swing

  1. Preparing the Cup: Cut the paper cup in half horizontally. This will serve as the base of the Jhula.
  2. Decorating the Cup : Decorating the cup using sequins

Step 6: Final Touches

  1. Moti Chain: Attach the moti chain to the sides of the bottle cap and to the canopy. This will create a beautiful swing.
  2. Hanging the Jhula: Ensure that all parts are securely attached. The Jhula should be stable and capable of holding a small idol of Krishna.

Step 7: Displaying Your Jhula
Place your unique Krishna Janmashtami Jhula in your prayer area or at the center of your decorations. It will undoubtedly become the highlight of your celebration, impressing guests with its creativity and charm.

Enjoy the festive season and may your handcrafted Jhula bring joy and divine blessings to your home!
